Five from the TPLF clique, including the leader Sebhat Nega have been captured by the Ethiopian Government. The information was announced by the National Defence Force.
Sebhat Nega has been identified by local forces as the brain behind the mishap that rocked Ethiopia in the last few months and for over the past 27 years. According to Tesfaye Ayalew, the group was found in a very difficult to trace hostile strip.
The list of people captured includes Sebhat Nega, the ringleader; Lt. Col Tseadu Rich, Sebhat’s wife; Col. Knife Tadesse; Col. Yemane Kahisay; Asgede Gebrekiristos; Alganesh Meles however died during the capture raid.
The recent information places 1.3 million individuals as Ethiopians in need of humanitarian assistance as an aftermath of the crisis that rocked the Tigray region.
