The Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, who also doubles as the chairman of Northern Governor’s Forum says, the insecurity ravaging the Northern region ranging from kidnapping, banditry, armed robbery, among other security challenges bedeviling parts of the country will soon be a thing of the past.
Lalong who disclosed this to Journalists at the Funeral service of late Archbishop Peter Jatau, in Kaduna, says national security is everybody’s business and citizens at all levels must take responsibility to protect themselves and their communities.
He however commended the Kaduna state government for setting the ball rolling on community policing which he added is the easiest way to combat insecurity in the country.
