In a bid to tackle the rising poverty level among Nigerian women, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the disbursement of about fifty-two million Naira to two thousand six hundred women in Nasarawa state.
Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq made the disclosure in Lafia when she flagged off the empowerment Programme.
The Minister was represented by the Minister of State, Science, and Technology, Barr. Muhammed Abdullahi explained that the money disbursed is strictly for vulnerable rural women in the state in order for them to become self-sufficient.
