A Chief Magistrate Court in Abuja has adjourned the ruling on the bail application filed on behalf of Omoyele Sowore and four others till January 8th, 2021 .
Chief Magistrate, Mabel Segun-Bello, fixed the date after listening to the application for bail moved by the lawyer to the defendants, Marshal Abubakar and the opposition by the prosecutor.
Chief Magistrate Segun-Bello also ordered the defendants to be remanded at the Force Criminal Investigative Department facility at Area ten in Abuja, following complaints by Sowore that he was denied food and medical attention at the Kuje Correctional facility.
Sowore was arrested on the New Year’s Eve for Criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly and inciting public disturbance.
