Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has assured that his government would do everything possible, to protect women and children from abuse, especially as the most vulnerable in society.
Bala Mohammed said this when he was visiting the family of the victim of child abuse in Jama Local Government Area where a suspected ritualist amputated the private part of a six year old girl.
The Bauchi State Governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Local Government And Chieftaincy Affairs, Nuhu Zaki, said the Bala Mohammed administration will deal decisively with any one found guilty, to serve as a deterrent to others.
He said government would settle all the medical bills of the victim.
The Police in Bauchi has said that one suspect has been arrested in connection with the crime, while the major suspect is at large.
