Niger State Governor, Abubakar Bello, has been asked to urgently set up a committee that will investigate the suspended Chairman of Shiroro Local Government Council, Sulaiman Chukuba, over financial malpractice.
The call was made by the Leader of the Local Government, Yusuf Aliyu, shortly after a meeting in Minna.
Aliyu noted that setting up the investigative committee will unveil the true position of the allegations of abuse of power and financial recklessness, among others.
The Leader expressed confidence that the committee will be fair to all parties.
He cautioned Chukuba to desist from going into the Council Secretariat in Kuta until he is cleared of the allegations levelled against him.
