The Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, has ratified the 2021 Appropriation Bill passed yesterday by the Abia State House of Assembly. The sum of ₦131,852,752,000.00 was signed into law.
The budget which is 21% higher than the 2020 budget allocated 62.8 billion for recurrent expenditure and 69 billion for capital expenditure.
The budget has been tagged the Budget of Local Contents and Sustainable Development by the state governor himself.
Ikpeazu expressed that the budget will help resuscitate the spirit of industry and ingenuity thus furthering industrialization within the state.
