The Kenyan Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPPDU) have now suspended a strike the embarked on four days away after several months of demanding better PPE for frontline workers in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As many as 14 doctors passed away to the virus forcing all to demand better working conditions for medical practititioners.
The action was earlier begun mid-November before it was resumed on the 21st of December. The Government have now in agreement with 47 County Public Service Boards signed a 13-point return to work agreement with the KMPPDU.
Among the commitment of the government includes payment of the owed funds to the doctors, ending disputes with medical workers. The nurses and other medical practitioners however remain on strike.
