The Gombe State Government has disclosed that it has begun compensating close to 700 persons whose properties were affected by the establishing of the Gombe Industrial Park.
The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Ismalia Uba Misilli disclosed that residents of the Yamaltu-Deba Local Government Area will benefit from the scheme.
The Gombe State Government is currently compensating for close to 1000 hectres and payment will be based on the size of each individual owner’s property .
The Gombe Industrial Park was set up to explore the North -East’s potential in agriculture, solid minerals and other natural resources. The park is also the first of it’s kind in the North-East of Nigeria.
