The Cross River State government has been advised constantly provide the Nigerian Legion with an opportunity in the agricultural sector that will enable members of the legion in the state earn their living.

Chairman of the Legion, Retired Captain Ekpeyong Offiong made the call in Calabar during the launch of the 2021 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem in Governors Office, Calabar.

Offiong called on the State Governor to assist the Legion with modern farm inputs and other agricultural equipments that will support the sustenance of the children and dependant of the fallen heroes.

Governor Ayade ,who was represented by his deputy,Prof Ivara Esu at the event ,said Government would provide agricultural opportunities for the members of the legion and improve on funding of their to guarantee their daily living.

The 2021 Emblem Launch was in preparation for the Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration in Jan 15 of every year.
