The Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has described the establishment of a stable security in Abia state as the only way to create appropriate ambience for business development.
Ikpeazu made the observation at the Government House Umuahia, during the official inauguration of the Abia Safety Alert System (ABSAS) Command and Control Cente, a digital technology driven initiative which provides the people with a quick channel of reporting security issues around them to security agents.
According to the Governor, the initiative underscores the importance his adminstration places on security of lives and properties of Abia residents.
The State Commissioner for Homeland Security, Dan Okoli pointed out that the administration is focused on making Abia the foremost state in the deployment of technology to tackle crimes.
