The visit is the first since the Belgian Ambassador to Nigeria Daniel Bertrand, assumed office.
During their meeting, the ambassador hinted Governor Masari, that having been to neighbouring Niger Republic, with similarities in culture, political landscape and the ways of life, the government of Belgium is seeking to contribute its quota, to the development of the state.
Governor Aminu Masari, while thanking the Ambassador for his visit, sought for collaboration, in terms of the curbing of the insecurity, faced by the state, especially at its border with Niger Republic, which is vast and prone to illegal migration.
The Governor also used the meeting to solicit support from the Belgian government, in terms of agriculture, as 80 percent of its total population, indulge in agricultural practices, either for self reliance or export.
Masari further promised to continue to provide the needed cooperation, between the state and the Belgian government, by following up, to cement the already established relationship.
