Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency calls for collaboration from state agencies and the people in tackling the rising scourge of Drug Abuse in Gombe state.

The Federal agency said the issue with drug abuse has escalated in recent times with individuals engaged in banned substances and abuse of legal medications.

It said that despite the challenges on the rise in the trafficking of drugs it has been able to prosecute thirty-two convictions with thirteen cases still in court and rehabilitate six individuals involved in drug addiction.

Another story on the war against drug trafficking in Gombe with reports of the state sadly being among the top two states in the country engaged in the trafficking of drugs.

This had made the NDLEA engage the youths in the state to stop the peddling and trafficking of these substances.

Still, the federal agency said that it is able to make arrests of individuals and seize these banned substances in the state.

A call for support from the NDLEA in tackling the growing scourge of drug abuse and trafficking in the state.
