Second wave of COVID-19: FCTA to shut down Millennium Park

The Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, says Government is not considering another lockdown in the wake of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The administration, however, announced that it will shut down the popular Millennium Park throughout the yuletide period to prevent overcrowding.

Okharo Attah, the Chairman of the FCT ministerial task team on COVID-19, said this during a meeting with park operators in Abuja.

The COVID-19 pandemic continues threaten the health of the country. Even as the authorities intensifies efforts to tackle the pandemic.

The Director of parks and recreation, Riskat Abdulaziz while addressing some of the park operators warned that any operator who fails to comply strictly with the protocols will be closed down

The administration said that it will spare nothing to ensure full compliance with all health protocols as the enforcement team will be on ground to ensure the rules are observed.
