Covid-19 Figures Climb Higher In Nasarawa State

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed that 1145 new infections have been recorded across the nation. This is the highest that the nation has recorded since its inception. 

Twenty-three states across the nation have recorded cases. Lagos State remains the epicentre of the disease with 459 cases, closely followed by Abuja, Kaduna and Plateau States. Other states include Katsina-70, Gombe-52, Niger-31, Kano-23, Bayelsa -21, Bauchi-18, Ondo-18, Rivers-17, Ogun-12, Oyo-12, Edo – 8, Nasarawa- 8. 

The rest are: Ebonyi recorded 7, Osun- 6, Ekiti- 5, Kebbi- 5, Borno- 4, Jigawa- 3, Akwa Ibom- 2 and Anambra had one case. The NCDC also revealed that 335 patients have been discharged within the same time frame after testing negative. 

The Federal Government has continued to ward residents to celebrate the yuletide responsibly so as to avoid another lockdown.
