A conglomerate, Coca Cola has announced plans to let go of 2200 of its staff globally due to the economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic. 1200 of those will come from the United States alone.
The company reiterated that the pandemic was not the cause for the decision but a major catalyst in arriving at that decision.
Although the timeline has not been made public yet, Coca Cola had earlier offered voluntary separation packages to 4000 staff members.
