The Defence Headquarters says its inability to rescue the abducted Kankara Science School students was because of its resolve to reduce human casualties.
The Coordinator of the Defence Media Operation, Major General John Enenche, while speaking to reporters in Abuja, said the abductors used the students as a human shield during their escape thus the military’s inability to engage them during the abduction.
General Enenche said the military is working round the clock to ensure the students are rescued and returned back to the safety of their families.
