Two Nigerian celebrities, with stage names Omah Lay and Tems have been released after getting arrested for violating social distancing guidelines.

Ever so recently, Peter Okoye from the now-defunct P-Square group disclosed that the duo is on their way home via his Twitter page.

The duo was arrested after performing at a concert in Speke Resort in the nation’s capital.

Several Nigerians have taken to social media to protest the double standards of detention especially as the nation’s president, Yoweri Museveni, drew an immense crowd while campaigning for the upcoming elections.

Recall that popular opponent, Robert Kyagunlanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine was also arrested several weeks back for the same offence. The protest that ensued after his detention led to the loss of at least 54 lives.
