Sudan has today been formally delisted from the United States blacklist for ‘State Sponsor of Terrorism’ according to the US embassy in Khartoum and as will be published in the Federal Register.

Following the notification period of 45 days when President Donald Trump first announced (October 26) plans to delist the North African nation and a commitment to pay the sum of $335 million to compensate families of the victims and survivors of the attack on US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania while Al Bashir hosted the terrorist group Al Qaeda.

Sudan will now re-enter the international banking system and will be able to negotiate with creditors to rebuild and hopefully clear off it’s $60 billion foreign debt.
