The Benue State government and labour union leaders in the state have reached an interim agreement on the implementation of the ₦30,000 national minimum wage to civil servants.
Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Professor Anthony Ijohor, while briefing journalists at the end of a meeting with the Governor, Samuel Ortom, said it has been agreed that implementation will commence for civil servants on grade levels one to six immediately.
He, however, added the efforts are being made to tidy up the payroll system so as for other grade levels to benefit.
