Governor Douye Diri says Ijaw youths must stay focused and engage in meaningful dialogues in order to achieve the needs of the Ijaw ethnic Group as there was no going back in the fight for a true federal system of governance.
The Bayelsa State Governor stated this during a meeting with the Executive and members of the Ijaw Youth Congress this Thursday in Yenagoa.
The visit of the Ijaw youths under the auspices of Ijaw Youths Congress IYC central zone to governor Diri is comming barely four months after the new Executives were inaugurated.
The chairman, Clever Inodu said the visit was to parley with the governor on how to attract development to the zone
Governor Douye Diri, affirmed that there was no going back in the struggle for true federalism. He charged the youths to use dialogue and meaningful engagement to drive home their demands.
With Diri’s administration tilting toward boosting the state’s revenue through agriculture, he charged the youths to key into the vision of becoming self-reliant and sufficient.
