The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Mahmood Yakubu, says the commission is working closely with the National Assembly to ensure the speedy passage of the electoral act amendment bill.
Briefing State House Correspondents after he was sworn in by President Muhammadu Buhari for another five-year term, Yakubu said that preparations for the 2023 general elections have commenced.
He added that the passage of the amendment bill will enormously assist the commission in confronting various challenges ahead.
