US Embassy discontinues VISA reciprocity fee for Nigerians

The ministry of foreign affairs spokesperson, Ferdinard Nwonye has confirmed that the Visa reciprocity fee initiated by the United States on Nigerians seeking entry into the US has been discontinued.

According to him, this is as a result of removing the additional costs that United States citizens have to pay when applying for entry visas into the country.

The reciprocity fee was introduced by the US embassy after trying for a two-year period to gave the NIgerian Government to decrease the visa charges to its citizens.

The discontinuation of the reciprocity fee comes into full effect from the 3rd of December, 2020.
