Egyptian model, Salma El-Shimy, has been arrested alongside her photographer over a 15 minute photo session in Saqqara.

Although they have both been granted bail worth $64, her offence includes inappropriate dressing, not properly gaining permission to shoot at the archaeological site and negligence towards the antiquities.

The location- the Pyramid of Djoser dates as far back as the 27th Century BC. Not only have the photos gone viral, several have debated if her offences are crime related or socially disruptive.

Some members of parliament have demanded that the duo face the extremities of the law for insulting the great pharoanic history, while others remain indifferent.
