Former French President, Valery Giscard d’Estaing who ruled between 1974 – 1981 has unfortunately passed away due to COVID-19 complications.
He was born on the 2nd of February, 1926 in Koblenz, Germany and married Anne-Aymone in 1952.
Giscard was 94 years old at his demise. He was notably popular for the notable things during his reign as France’s numero uno such as transforming France after the war, enlisting France as one of the European countries, legalising abortion, divorce and reducing the legal age to vote to 18 years.
Emmanuel Macron, the sitting president has described him as a servant of the state and a politician of progress and freedom.
