The Senate has once again called for the sack of service chiefs over the recent murder of over 60 farmers in Zabarmari in Borno state.
The Senate while expressing displeasure over the inability of security agencies to stop the killings of innocent Nigerians by terrorist groups, Boko Haram and the Islamic State of West Africa province ISWAP, said between January 2020 and December 2020, there have been almost 3, 000 attacks on innocent communities in Borno state alone.
The Senate while reacting to a motion of urgent national importance by Senator Kashim Shettima from Borno state on the recent killings in Zabarmari in the state, said despite huge allocations approved by the legislature, troops have continued to lack modern and sophisticated fighting equipment to match the terrorists.
