Nigerian Correctional Services suspends DCC Abubakar Mohammed Sani

The Deputy Controller of Corrections, Abubakar Mohammed Sani, at the Nigerian Correctional Service has been suspended as disclosed in a Press Release signed by the Public Relations Officer, AC Njoku.  

Sani was on the 26th of October, 2020 suspended on grounds of gross misconduct, a 6-count charge of conspiracy, and obtaining by false pretense. Sani has now been arraigned before Justice Hadiza Sabi’u Shagari of the Federal High Court following his suspension. 

The Controller General of Corrections, Ja’afaru Ahmed, took the opportunity to admonish others in service that any case of misconduct will not be taken lightly. Ahmed has assured the public of the safety and well being of those reprimanded in custody. 

He also asked any persons with grievances against any member of staff not to hesitate to bring such cases forward.
