As Joe Biden elects his cabinet in preparation to assume the role of the United States President, the Wall Street Journal has reported that Adewale Adeyemo will assume the role of the Deputy Treasury Secretary.
Adeyemo, who was born in Nigeria has served as a senior international economic adviser during Obama’s administration as President of the United States.
Other key appointments in Biden’s administration include Neera Tanden, a former advisor in Obama’s Administration as the White House Budget Office Director, Cecilia Rouse will assume the Chair of Economic Advisors.
Biden also notably nominated an all-female senior White House communications team.
Adeyemo grew up in California and went to Yale Law School and was the first President of the Obama Foundation.
