Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani and Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei have in different statements stated that the death of Mohseh Fakhrizadeh will be avenged in due course.
Mohsen was allegedly murdered in broad daylight on a major road outside Tehran on Friday by suspected assassins who shot him. Unfortunately, he passed on at a hospital shortly afterward, local news media outlets have reported.
He was 59 years and famed for being the brain behind the innovative research and technological efforts of the nation. He served as the head of research and innovation at the Ministry of Defence.
Iranian President has laid the responsibility of his demise at Israel’s feet. Israel has, however, not publicly admitted to the claims and remains speculative at the time of this writing.
Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister, Abdulrahman Al Thani has called the assassination a violation of human rights while expressing his condolences.
