The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan has said that she suffered a miscarriage after being pregnant with her second child in July.
According to CNN, in an opinion piece for the New York Times, the Duchess wrote that she “felt a sharp cramp” while changing the diaper of her first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, whom she had with her husband Prince Harry in 2019.
She said she dropped the floor with her arms, humming a Lullaby to keep both of them calm, the cheerful tune, according to her, a stark contrast to her sense that something was not right. She said she knew she clutched her first child that she was losing her second.
Describing how she felt after the miscarriage, the former actress said she lay in a hospital bed, holding her husband’s hands. She felt the clamminess of the Prince’s palms and kissed his knuckles, wet from both their tears.
Staring at the cold white walls, the actress said that her eyes glazed over. She tried to imagine how they would heal.
