The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) for disease control announced that 410 Germans reportedly passed away to COVID-19 within a 24-hour window.
This all-time high figure brings the total number of death casualties to 14,771. Close to one million cases of the coronavirus have been detected in Germany since the inception of the virus and an estimated 656,400 have recovered in total as of this writing.
The German Chancellor, Angela Merkel will be meeting with the leaders of Germany’s Federal States to coordinate a response strategy as the yuletide approaches.
