Chipper Cash to launch stock options in Nigeria

Chipper Cash, a free cross-border money transfer solution currently evolving into a merchant based Peer-to-Peer services designed by two Africans, Ham Serunjogi and Majid Moujaled from Uganda and Ghana has disclosed that it would first launch its stocks in Nigeria.

Chipper Cash just recently raised $30 million in its Series B funding led by Bezos Expeditions – Jeff Bezos’ personal Venture Capital and Ribbit Capital. The app will allow Africans to purchase top-level stocks in Amazon, Tesla and even Software companies like Apple.

It is a welcome development in the African Tech space as investments on the continent will boost the African Ecosystem. Chipper Cash currently operates in Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Ghana. It boasts of a total of 3 million users and processes close to 80000 transactions daily.
