Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have launched a fresh attack in Kusada Area Council of Katsina State, on Sunday.
According to local sources, the gunmen abducted two persons related to a national lawmaker from the area. They are, Sulaiman Musa and Talatu Musa, while another person Jamilu Musa was injured during the attack.
The source who pleaded anonymity said the gunmen stormed the residence of the lawmaker around 1 am asking for the mother. It was learnt that the gunmen abducted the two relatives when they could not see the national lawmaker’s mother, and inflicted injuries on the other, while attempting to escape.
The source also added that the national lawmaker himself and his mother were not in town when the gunmen struck. He says, they were in Katsina and left for Abuja, after reporting the incident at the Kusada Divisional Police Headquarters.
There has been no official statement from the Police in Katsina State as at the time of filing this report.
