The oldest lion at the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Olorpapit, has passed away as reported by the Reserve’s management after 16 years.
Olorpapit passed away at the Olare Motorogi Conservancy and was famous with tourists for his big hair and friendly actions.
Olorpapit reigned as leader of the Enkuiyani pride for 16 long years but fell ill a few years back. The lion was attacked a few weeks back by younger lions and finally gave up the ghost on Wednesday.
All tourists who had come in contact with Olorpapit took to social media to mourn the loss of the iconic lion.
