ICPC arrests four immigration officers

The ICPC has arrested four Nigerian Immigration Officers for participating or benefitting from the proceeds of crime. Some of the culprits, Adeda Retty, Abimbola Louis, Eboji Ngozi and Okunda Olawale were caught inpossession of 7 cartons of frozen fish for sale.

The ICPC in a statement disclosed plans to conduct routine operations to reduce corrupt practices at the ports and activities undermining the efforts of the Federal Government to ensure ease of doing business.

The Maritime Anti-Corruption Network has raised some concerns over the high rates of bribery and corruption that takes place at the ports by officials.
