EndSARS activist, Eromosele Adene, has finally been granted bail pegged at ₦1 million.
He was accused by the Nigerian Police of criminal incitement, cyberstalking, and provoking a breach of public peace but wasn’t formally charged.
Eromosele was very vocal during the #EndSARS protests, however, it is unclear if there is proof to assert these accusations levelled against him.
He was afterward held in custody for 10 days without a charge. Eromosele, 27-year-old, was reportedly initially arrested in Lagos and later transferred to Abuja before being returned now to Lagos for his court hearing after so much attention was drawn to his arrest on social media.
The police have, however, debunked those claims.
Although Eromosele’s family were not allowed entry to witness the court’s proceedings, many of his supporters were gathered outside to offer moral support.
