On Thursday evening, Armed robbers attacked a bullion van along Ado Road in the Ajah area of Lagos State, and carted away millions of Naira. According to an eyewitness who recorded the incident, it was revealed that one person was killed during the attack, which happened around 3:30 pm.
It was confirmed that the robbers pursued the bullion van from the cash collection point until it entered a solitary road at Ajah local government, before targeting the tires, to make it immobile.
Although people at the scene ran for safety, a stray bullet accidentally hit a motorcycle driver, killing him instantly. The driver and the police officer in the van were outnumbered by the robbers The attack lasted for several minutes with no sign of the police present, according to another witness.
A water tanker was also targeted by the robbers, causing the driver and conductor to flee to safety. . Hakeem Odumosu, The state commissioner of police in regards to the incident, stated that no life was lost during the attack.
