Members of the EndSARS protesters who are part of the Judicial Panel of Inquiry set up the Edo State Government to receive and investigate complaints of police brutality, human rights violations, and extra-judicial killing in the state have condemned the alleged clampdown on the bank accounts of some EndSARS protesters across the country.

The End SARS protesters condemned the act at the hearings on petitions by the Judicial Panel of Inquiry against police brutality this Tuesday in Benin City, the state capital.

Upon resumption of hearing by the Edo State Judicial Panel of Inquiry on police brutality, some members of the End SARS protesters who are also members of the judicial panel of inquiry condemned the clampdown of bank accounts of some key players in the End SARS protests by the Federal Government,  describing the government’s action as counterproductive.

Done with this, the panel commenced the hearing on petitions slated for the day;  the killing of Ibrahim Momodu a student of the University of Benin in 2013 by police officers in Benin and the killing of Benson Obude in 2015 by men of the disbanded Special Anti Robbery Squad  SARS.

The panel has so far received 38 petitions
