Reports from the NCDC shows that Nigeria recorded 59 cases of COVID-19 within the last 24 hours and no deaths.
This brings the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 63,700. The new cases were reported from 8 states – Kaduna, Rivers, Ogun, Ondo, Kano, Niger, Kwara and Plateau states.
Despite the decline, the NCDC continues to admonish Nigerians to observe all social distancing protocols and a renewed increase in vigilance by health workers and aviation officers.
The toll is the lowerst in the most-populous African country since its spike.
