Kylian Mbappe will not feature in Wednesday’s Champions League game in Germany at Leipzig as a result of a thigh injury, the club has confirmed.
The 2018 World Cup champion was substituted in Saturday’s away game against Nantes.
However, head coach Thomas Tuchel said it was a precaution ahead of the game in Germany.
A statement released by the club on Tuesday said the 21-year-old will not be available as a result of the problem in his right abductor muscle.
The French champions defeated the young German club in last season’ss Champions League semifinals before losing to eventual champions Bayern Munich in the final.
