The Cross River State National Assembly caucus has appealed to youths in the state to end the violent protests and wanton destruction of public and private property witnessed in the last three weeks in the state.
The federal lawmakers in a statement on Thursday called on the youths to seek a more constructive and proactive approach to express their grievances, pointing out that it is important for them to establish mechanisms for quick resolution of the situation.
The lawmakers advised the youths to shun violence, stressing that it is an ill wind that blows nobody any good and a threat to a functional society which is the aspiration of every well-meaning Nigerian.
They said criminal elements took advantage of the peaceful and meaningful #EndSARS protest to unleash nefarious acts against the state.
The lawmakers vowed to speak up even more and be responsive to issues that affect the well-being of the nation and Cross River State.
