Alex Telles has tested positive for coronavirus. The news was confirmed by Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjær, after he was not named in the squad that defeated Leipzig on Wednesday night in old Trafford.
In a tweet released on Wednesday, the club wished the 27-year-old a quick recovery and a swift return to the fold.
The Brazilian defender joined the red devils from Porto on a four year deal on deadline day.
He will now isolate for 10 days and will miss United’s game against Arsenal on Sunday.
