Franco Morbidelli claimed his second win of the season, with the Teruel MotoGP, following Takaaki Nakagami crash in the first lap.
The 25-year-old crossed the finish line two seconds ahead of last week’s winner Alex Rins, with Joan Mir taking third place after starting in 12th position.
Mir extended his championship lead to 14 points ahead of favorite Fabio Quartararo, on eighth, while Maverick Vinales finished seventh.
He has now moved to fourth position in the championship with his victory, 25 points off the lead, after winning his first career MotoGP race at the San Marino GP in September.
The next two races will take place in Spain at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia.
The 2020 MOTOGP championship season will round off in the Algarve, in Portugal.
