Shortly after the Osun State government lifted the 24-hour curfew declared by the government, some hoodlums have busted Ede Cocoa factory and carted away COVID-19 palliatives kept in the warehouse.
The residents were seen in their number carting away the food materials at the warehouse.
Reacting to the incident, the state government said the palliative was not in the custody of the government but the committee in charge of the distribution of relief material, and the government was waiting for another consignment before approval from the Coalition Against COVID-19, CACOVID, to distribute to the masses.
Meanwhile, End SARS protesters in Osun State on Friday said they have suspended their demonstration in the state capital, Osogbo.
The protesting youths said they were ready to shield their swords and allow the peace to reign once the government is also ready to replicate the same by meeting their demands.
The protesters said they would move their protest out of the highway in order to allow commuters and motorists to use the popular Olaiya Gbangan expressway without any obstruction.
They, however, gave the Governor two weeks ultimatum to address their demands.
