Cultivation Of Marijuana Bill Passes Second Hearing

In the House of Representatives, the bill to legalise the growth of marijuana in Nigeria has passed its second reading.

This was made known by a legal practitioner, Dr. Tonye Clinton during a media conference organised by Grow Cann Africa in Abuja.

On the utility and potential of cannabis plants and CBD oil, Clinton announced that lawmaker designated to Okigwe North of Imo State, Princess Miriam Onuoha, sponsored the bill .

He added that Nigeria as a nation stands to gain a lot economically if the bill is passed into law.

The bill is to gain approval to use intoxicant marijuana plants for scientific and medical research.
