Nana Akufo-Addo, the Ghanaian president and ECOWAS leader of the West African economic bloc arrived in Mali following the lifting of economic sanctions and the troubled West African nation.
The santions were lifted after Mali agreed certain terms of a transitional 18-month long government including a civilian president and Prime Minister.
The Ghanaian president was welcomed by the interim leader, Bah N’Daou, a retired military official. Nana Akufo-Addo is also expected to meet with the interim vice president, Assimi Goita.
