As many as 150,000 individuals in Brazil have reportedly passed away due to the Coronavirus pandemic based on reports from the health ministry.
A record 5,082,637 people were also infected. The death toll figure makes it the second highest region following the United States with at least 213,000 death casualties.
It is not clear if the pandemic has peaked in the region as the numbers have been falling slowly thus experts have been apprehensive to say if the worst is over or not.
