The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in today’s governorship election in Ondo State, Eyitayo Jegede, has expressed disappointment with the security arrangement around the polling unit.
Jegede, who spoke shortly after casting his vote as Unit 009, Sacred Heart Ward in Gbogi/Isikan said the security arrangement around the polling unit is faulty and thus giving room for suspicion.
The PDP candidate and his wife were delayed for about 20 minutes and could not cast his ballot due to faulty card reader machine.
The machine was, thereafter, rectified by the Independent National Electoral Commission Electoral Officers, and Jegede and his wife were allowed to vote at about 11:35 am
Jegede, however, expressed hope that the process will end up in a transparent manner.
