American rapper, Daniel Hernandez, popularly known as Tekashi 6ix9ine, has been reportedly hospitalised due to an overdose of diet pills which he washed down with caffeine.
The 24-year-old rapper was said to have had a dire reaction to the combination of the pills and drink he took.
According to reports, he was admitted to a Florida hospital on Tuesday , 29, September.
In an interview with Shade Room Tekashi confirmed that his overdose was due to taking two Hydroxycut pills instead of the required dosage of one , with a cup of coffee.
This resulted to the rapper heart rate increasing rapidly and he began to sweat “sweat excessively”.
Tekashi has insisted that he is not any illicit drugs and he is using Hydroxycut to loose the weight he gained while in Prison.
He claimed he gained more than 20lbs and he is using the pills to help him shed weight.
Tekasi was sentenced to two years in prison after testifying to being a part of Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. he was also charged with a number of Fie Arms offences.
According to a source, his movement is being monitored by by authorities as he can only leave his home to receive medical treatment or visit his lawyer.
