Rebecca Grossman, Co-founder of the non-profit Grossman Burn Foundation, was arrested Tuesday night for the killing of two young brothers during a fatal car crash in West Lake Village.
According to authorities, the brothers, Mark Iskander, 11, and Jacob Iskander, 9, were crossing the road with their parents along Triunfo Canyon Road and Saddle Mountain Drive accompanied by two other siblings, when the parents noticed a fast-approaching car, but they were unable to react in time to save all the children.
Police suspects the accident was as a result of alcohol and street racing.
One of the boys died at the spot, while the other was carried on the hood of Grossman Mercedes for more than 100 feet before she pulled the brakes and the boy fell on the street.
Grossman then fled the scene but was pulled over by the police a mile and a half away.
She was released on bail after paying $2 million but expected to return to court, October 21.
The sheriff department revealed they have surveillance footage of the accident.
Dozens gathered around Westlake Village to mourn the death of the boys.
